Why You Should Choose To Travel By Train
Travelling by train is a great way to see the world. When it comes to travelling abroad, most of us will automatically just book a flight but this is a real shame. Those of us who live in the UK can now jump on a train and travel straight to the content. There are some great reasons to choose train travel and here are just some of them.
- Using a train to get to a foreign city means that it is highly likely that you will end up very near to your destination when you get off. Most airports are situated away from the city so even when you arrive at the airport, you still have quite a bit of travelling to do before you get to where you want to go; any time saved on the flight will be spent travelling to your destination. Most cities will have a train station situated in the centre of the city.
- Train travel has the advantage of allowing you to see the world go by as you travel unless of course your train journey takes place at night. This is so different to travelling by plane because once you are up in the clouds, there is absolutely nothing to see. You get more of a feeling of arrival when you travel by train.
- If you are travelling far by train you can get a sleeper cabin. So you can still get a good night’s sleep while you travel. The only way to get a comfortable sleep on a plane is flying first class something that is prohibitively expensive for most of us.
- When it comes to walking about and having a stretch, this is a lot easier to do on a train. And there are trains that have dining cars where you can sit and have something to eat as if you were actually in a restaurant.
- There is something just so laid back and relaxing about train travel; watching the world go by as the train rocks from side to side is really something special.
Today, more and more families are taking the car and driving to their holiday destination abroad. Many people head to the South Coast to grab thedover to calais ferry. This often saves worrying about driving through the tunnel and worrying about disneyland paris tickets. And what better way to get to France for some shopping? Try not to forget the European travel insurance.
