Turkey Hotels: Cultural Arts Festivals And Tips On Where To Stay
One of the best times to visit Turkey is during the arts festivals that take place from the start of May to end of July every year. You’ll need to book Turkey hotels well in advance during this time in order to get a good deal, due to the number of people coming to the region. The three biggest festivals during this time celebrate theatre, dance, classical music and jazz and draw crowds from around the world every year.
The first one of the summer festivals, the International Theatre festival, kicks off in May and hotels pack out as over 20,000 guests come to Istanbul to watch and participate in the events. To welcome the arrival of summer, there is the International Jazz Festival, held in Istanbul every July. It is one of the most popular and features performances from musicians from all over the world from some of the most famous orchestras to talented soloists. The festival has been graced with the likes of Lenny Kravitz, Miles Davis, and Herbie Hancock. This year festival goers will enjoy the performances of artists including Randy Crawford and Joe Sample together with Paul Simon who will play tribute to Miles Davis.
