German civil engineer Hermann Tilke, the mastermind behind tracks in Sepang, Shanghai and Bahrain, built the 5.378 kilometre track where the races take place in the Istanbul Park Circuit.  Following the natural contours of the land, the anti-clockwise circuit path leads to exciting on-track racing exploits.

Spectators can enjoy the state-of-the-art spectator facilities, making it a comfortable place to watch a weekend of racing. The race circuit holds 130,000 fans—with seating for 25,000 within the track’s main grandstand. Istanbul Park Circuit is located about 50 kilometres outside of central Istanbul, easily accessible by automobile or public transportation.
