- Parents become stressed and this causes the child to feel stressed. If you are getting angry then your child is going to respond to this; do all you can to make the journey as stress free as possible. Make sure that you get to the airport in plenty of time so ensure that you have everything packed and ready from the day before. Don’t have too much hand luggage as this can increase your feeling of being stressed. You might want to do a little bit of shopping while you are in the airport or have a nice meal; make sure you enjoy this time.
