A unique aspect to a gay vacation to Bangkok is that people in this country do not have any prejudice toward gays and nor do they, like in the US, differentiate between gays and those people that are straight. Thailand is a country where Buddhism is the major religion which seems to be the reason why gays are not made out to be perverts, but are treated at par with straights.

Gay travel to Bangkok  means getting to enjoy a special gay culture. In fact, most of the people that enjoy gay activities are not local Thais but are people from the Western countries. So, if you want to meet gays or enjoy gay sexual capers then chances are that you will need to find a foreign gay companion.

The gay establishments in Thailand are mostly commercial by nature and involve places such as gay bars, go-go clubs as well as massage parlors. A visit to Thailand for gay activities would be incomplete if you did not sample the go-go bars.

An important aspect to being a gay in the country of Thailand is that you must respect local sentiments and not display your affections for your partner in public. In fact, even heterosexuals are not encouraged to kiss or even hold hands in public. This means that if you need to do these things then you should be doing it in public; otherwise you would be offending Thai sensibilities.

There is however a smattering of nude beaches spread across different parts of Thailand where you can be affectionate in public; but, these are the exceptions rather than the rule. Bangkok provides some good accommodations for gays though even so the accommodations they find are not totally meant for gays because ordinary travelers too use such accommodation. Babylon is one of the better places for gays to find accommodation though the rooms are quite Spartan though still stylish and the room rent is affordable and includes use of saunas.

There is also a nice place for gays to live in Phuket and this place (Club Bamboo) is set in a very picturesque surrounding and it has a pool and sauna and also a fitness center.

If you want to enjoy gay travel to Thailand then there are many interesting opportunities and much to see and do in this wonderful country that has quite a unique gay culture which for the most part is being spawned by Westerners.
